TeleCam is built with a local-first architecture. Your data, videos, and settings remain securely on your device.
Camera & Microphone Usage
TeleCam requires permission to access your device's Camera and Microphone to perform video recording alongside script overlays.
We do not stream, transmit, record, or upload camera captures or audio streams to external servers.
All encoding processes happen purely on your device, and the final MP4 files are saved directly into your device's gallery.
Storage Permissions
We request Storage/Photos access so that you can import text files (.txt) or PDFs to convert them into teleprompter scripts, and to export completed recordings. TeleCam has no authority to scan or modify folders outside the application's directories and imports.
Data Security & Keys
All script databases, configurations (font sizes, scroll speed settings, background selections), and API keys are stored locally on your device in secure SQLite tables and preferences. Any AI keys you configure are utilized directly to authenticate requests to API endpoints, without passing through any intermediate proxy servers.
Third-Party Analytics & Advertising
TeleCam does not integrate tracking analytics software, telemetry APIs, or advertising SDKs. We believe in providing a distraction-free, privacy-preserving utility. Your workspace logs, usage counts, and session stats remain anonymous and offline.
